Job description
The Business Development team is responsible for providing support to all Explorer Franchisees; this will include support around attracting new business, maintaining existing business, key performance indicators, online and offline marketing and social media. The role is a fast paced, challenging and rewarding role to those who work within it. The role will also involve supporting franchisees immediately they complete induction. With a structured post induction plan to ensure their business gets off to the best possible start.
Role Summary
The role is to develop and support individual franchise business models; it will include increasing profitability by offering a wide range of support that will motivate and inspire, including one on one business development sessions and Social Media development. You will also be seen as role model and expert for all franchisees and support the Head of Explorer Franchise in delivering financial growth from the selling of holidays.
Main Responsibilities
1. Plan and execute a post induction development schedule with new franchisees.
2. Conduct business development sessions with franchisees, logging what you discussed and any agreed activity that yourself or another member of the BD team will use to follow up on next session.
3. Provide business development support on how to encourage repeat bookings
4. Provide support on how to generate new customers
5. Provide support on increasing booking margins
6. Interact on our internal Facebook page, to drive business, share best practice, offers, and motivate Explorer’s
7. Provide regular feedback to the Head of Explorer Franchise to support continuous improvement of internal Hays KPIs like HTOL, Insurance, Cruise and Direct Debit as well as how to improve things operationally within the business.
8. Build strong working relationships with franchisees and Head Office Departments
9. Attend and present at annual overseas / UK conference/meetings as required
10. Provide innovative ways to support build franchisee confidence on Isell and other booking systems.
11. Work with suppliers/ HO depts to set up webinars/training session when you identify there is a need
12. Be involved in induction training BD session.
Skills & Experience
13. Preferred candidate to have had experience in a coaching environment.
14. Have at least 2 years’ experience in a travel role, either retail or homeworking.
