Travis Baker has a highly experienced team of professional civil and structural engineers with many years of experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects. Our engineers typically evaluate land use constraints in support of site acquisition and planning. This role offers exposure to a variety of projects in an environment that supports professional development where possible.
Responsibilities
* Prepare infrastructure drawings and design using AutoCAD and other proprietary design software.
* Provide a single point of contact on designated projects.
* Undertake negotiations with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on design for adoptable works (Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278).
* Understand and implement designs on private areas to comply with current Codes of Practice.
* Collaborate effectively with other members of the design team (Architect, M&E Engineer, Client, etc.).
Qualifications And Experience
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Practical understanding of civil engineering principles.
* 5–10 years experience in a similar role within Consultancy.
* Educated to degree or HNC level.
* Chartered or Incorporated member of the Institution of Civil Engineers preferable but not essential.
* Ability to manage a team of Engineers and Technicians and mentor junior staff.
