Job Description
In this role, you’ll work closely with managers to provide practical and informed advice on employee relations, small-scale restructures, and everyday people matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
You'll play a key part in supporting positive working relationships across teams and helping managers navigate HR challenges with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide policy and procedure guidance to ensure compliance and minimise risk
2. Support managers with grievance and disciplinary investigations and hearings
3. Assist with restructures and TUPE processes as required
4. Liaise with unions in collaboration with ER Centre of Expertise
5. Promote best practice in people management, equality, and diversity
6. Collaborate closely with managers and People & Culture teams
7. Deliver positive people outcomes and reduce case escalations
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
8. Experience in a strong People & Culture generalist capacity
9. Educated to degree level or CIPD qualified (or working towards it)
10. Proven track record advising managers on all aspects of people management
11. Knowledge of UK employment law, basic TUPE and union experience
12. Strong communication, mediation, and coaching skills
13. Ability to follow clear processes and resolve conflicts effectively
14. Customer-focused with strong relationship-building abilities
