Senior Associate / Legal Director / Partner - Health & Safety - Exeter - 6+ years PQE
Location: Exeter Office (Hybrid & Flexible)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £85,000 to £120,000
The Role
This role offers a varied and impactful caseload supporting clients across the UK. Responsibilities include:
* Advising social housing and private-sector landlords on statutory compliance and contractual obligations
* Providing guidance on fire safety, asbestos, legionella, mould, electrical and gas safety risks
* Inputting into health and safety policies and crisis management procedures
* Advising on insurance cover for legal liabilities and expenses
* Supporting clients on contaminated land issues and related claims risks
* Advising on Building Safety legislation for landlords, developers, contractors, and consultants
* Conducting health, safety and environmental due diligence on real estate, commercial and corporate transactions
* Leading client training sessions and marketing initiatives
* Managing files in compliance with Lexcel procedures
* Mentoring junior legal staff and contributing to team development
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
* At least 6 years' PQE in non-contentious health and safety law
* Strong technical skills and innovative thinking
* Proven ability to manage and progress matters independently
* Excellent client service and relationship-building skills
* Commercial awareness and strategic insight
* Solid academic background
* Track record in business development and client origination
* Collaborative mindset and flexible working style
* Methodical and organised approach to complex matters
Working Arrangements
* This role supports hybrid working, with flexibility to work between home and the Exeter office.
