A welcoming and well‑established secondary school in Bury is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, provide tailored support to students who need additional help, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role will involve working with small groups, supporting behaviour, and helping pupils stay focused and motivated throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students in lessons, ensuring they are engaged and making progress
* Providing 1:1 or small‑group intervention work where required
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing the school’s expectations
* Helping to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Supporting SEN pupils where needed and following individual learning plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
