Building on our long-established and award-winning Administration business, Aptia will deliver full pensions consulting and administration services focussed passionately on solving client demands.
We’re looking for a Scheme Actuary to join our newly launched UK Pensions Consulting practice. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality actuarial advice to trustees and sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes.
This is a hybrid working role, which can be aligned with any Aptia UK office.
What you’ll be doing:
* Act as Scheme Actuary for an agreed portfolio of schemes.
* Provide expert advice on funding valuations, accounting disclosures, and risk management.
* Prepare and present clear, tailored reports and recommendations.
* Collaborate with administration and project teams for seamless delivery.
* Contribute to developing tools and methodologies for our new actuarial practice.
* Build strong client relationships and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
What we’re looking for:
* FIA qualification and a Scheme Actuary practicing certificate.
* Proven experience in UK pensions consulting, ideally with small to mid-sized schemes (<£250m).
* Strong technical knowledge of DB funding and regulatory codes.
* Excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
