The role of Trainee Sales Engineer is to be part of the existing Protec Fire Detection PLC system sales team, now part of the Bosch Group, focusing on future development and training for a System Sales Engineer position.
We are expanding our system sales in the Greater London area and seeking a motivated individual to join as a trainee and supporting sales engineer, working within a dedicated and professional sales team.
Typical Responsibilities:
1. Learn to prepare System Designs for BS 5839 (Fire Alarm and EVC) and BS 8629 (Evacuation) Systems.
2. Visit sites to conduct surveys or condition reports.
3. Complete and submit surveys and small works quotations.
4. Support regional sales or design team resources as needed.
5. Develop sales skills and learn techniques used by successful sales teams.
6. Learn to produce Technical Submissions and Project Quotations with supporting documentation.
7. Prepare and deliver PowerPoint Presentations for bids.
8. Gain confidence in delivering presentations to end users, M&E consultants, and electrical contractors.
9. Work flexibly within a busy division and meet short deadlines.
10. Understand commercial aspects of contracts and quotations.
11. Pursue leads and opportunities under guidance from managers.
12. Support the growth of system sales for Protec Fire Detection PLC.
13. Engage with clients and attend meetings across the UK.
