In this role, you will take a leading position in managing a pipeline of mainly onshore wind and energy storage projects from origination through to the start of construction.

YOUR CHALLENGE
Reporting to the UK Development and Deployment Director and collaborating with the development team and other specialists within Boralex, the candidate will develop mainly onshore wind and battery storage projects across the UK. This is a senior leadership role requiring technical expertise, strong leadership, and strategic project management skills. You will manage multidisciplinary and multinational teams and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet Boralex’s standards for safety and sustainability.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Monitoring and informing the team of key policy and market developments relating to renewable energy within the UK.
2. Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
3. Working independently on multiple complex renewable energy projects.
4. Supporting the development of opportunities, including:
* Supporting initial triage and due diligence of identified opportunities.
* Collaborating with internal and external resources for technical, commercial, and financial project development.
* Preparing and managing project budgets to ensure timely delivery within financial constraints.
* Managing project progress and addressing critical path challenges.
* Overseeing consenting processes, environmental assessments, and regulatory requirements.
* Developing relationships with landowners and stakeholders.
* Providing project status updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Analyzing tenders, participating in, and coordinating bid preparations.
* Representing the company at public information meetings.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or related fields.
o Minimum 8 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with at least 5 years in senior project management focused on onshore wind projects.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Proven track record of delivering large-scale wind projects from inception to operations.

o Excellent project management skills, proficient with MS Project, Word, and Excel.

o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
o Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities.
o Willingness to travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings as needed.
o Ability to foster a collaborative environment and build strong relationships.
o Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary, multinational teams.
This position may require occasional travel abroad, mainly to France, approximately once per quarter.
