Dorset Mental Health Support Teams in Schools are seeking Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners or Qualified Wellbeing Practitioners (Band 5) to join the Weymouth, Portland and West Dorset team and our Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole team. We have both full time and part time positions available and are able to offer a flexible work environment.
You will be working with established teams of creative, enthusiastic, passionate professionals who provide excellent support and therapeutic interventions within education settings to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health needs.
The role involves delivering Low Intensity CBT interventions to support children and young people's mental wellbeing across various education provisions. You will be expected to hold a caseload and deliver short-term evidence-based interventions to children, families, and young people. Additionally, you will assist in implementing the whole school approach within educational settings, liaising with schools, families, local authorities, and other organizations to respond effectively to local needs.
Travel to different education settings within the area is required, so a car and driving license are essential.
The team offers great support, regular supervision, proactive staff wellbeing initiatives, and a friendly working culture.
Applicants must have completed an accredited training course with a recognized university to be eligible, and recognized professional registration is required for EMHPs. CWP's may apply with relevant experience.
