Senior Oracle Technical Support & Configuration Analyst
Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site in Croydon London: Mon/Wed/Fri; 2 days remote)

The Brief
We’re recruiting a senior Oracle Fusion specialist for an Education charity client of ours to uplift BAU capability, close deep technical knowledge gaps, and support upcoming initiatives across HCM and Finance. This hire will act as the technical lead within a small support team, owning impact assessment, troubleshooting, and configuration while raising overall standards.
What You’ll Do
* Own complex incident/problem resolution in Oracle Fusion (vanilla product first principles) across HCM & Finance; trace issues from UI to underlying data tables and back.
* Perform Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) for change requests; advise on testability, risks, dependencies, and release approach.
* Configure and optimise core processes (workflows/approvals, security, roles, control accounts, audit trails); support Chart of Accounts rationalisation and data changes safely.
* Partner with functional SMEs to translate business requirements into technical solutions; document, test, and shepherd changes through governance.
* Prepare the team for new modules (e.g. Budgeting & Planning, Fixed Assets, FDI / reporting & analytics) knowledge-share, guides, and handover.
* Champion best practice across environments, data integrity, and change control; help set the cadence, standards, and templates for support.
What You’ll Bring
* 3+ years’ Oracle Fusion technical experience with strong functional breadth across HCM & Finance.
* Proven ability to navigate Fusion data model/tables directly from the UI, trace data flows, and conduct robust impact assessments.
* Hands-on configuration (workflows/approvals, roles/security, finance structures, audit), with sound testing and release discipline.
* Confidence working in less-formalised environments: proactive, self-starting, and comfortable creating structure where needed.
* Clear communicator who can mentor others, escalate when appropriate, and deputise for the Oracle Support lead on granular technical matters.
Nice to Have
* Exposure to FDI / OTBI / analytics, Fixed Assets, Budgeting & Planning/EPM, Procurement, and integrations.
* Prior experience stabilising live Fusion estates (post-go-live optimisations, data corrections, audit enablement).
