Our client is seeking an experienced HSE Director to lead their HSSE & Asset Risk team within the renewables sector, specifically focusing on offshore windfarms. This is a contract position based in Swindon or London, with regular travel to sites in the UK and Germany. In this pivotal role, you'll hold global accountability for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions and procedures for colleagues and business partners across Europe. Key Responsibilities: Lead the global HSSE & Asset Risk team to ensure safety, security, and health for all colleagues and business partners Establish and maintain HSSE policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Ensure safety and security are embedded by design Develop and maintain systems and tools to report and analyse HSSE incidents and asset risks Drive a global HSSE-oriented culture through comprehensive HSSE programs Develop and deliver training programmes to educate employees and contractors Assess and actively manage asset risk and environmental risks Head the Central Crisis Management Team for crisis situations Represent the offshore wind sector in industry forums and associations Job Requirements: University degree in occupational health and safety, renewable energy, engineering, or equivalent Proven track record of successful leadership in health and safety, preferably within offshore wind or related industries Experience in health, safety, and environmental management of offshore wind projects Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and effective risk mitigation strategies Experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems Success-driven personality with structured problem-solving capabilities combined with strategic thinking Mindset dedicated to driving operational performance and growth Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage If you are an accomplished HSE Director with a passion for driving safety and sustainability in the renewables sector, we would love to hear from you.
