The European Corporate Brand and Communications office (ECBC) is part of Hitachi Europe Ltd and is responsible for pan-European branding, advertising, internal communications, and public relations. The main role of ECBC is to reinforce Hitachi’s image amongst senior decision-makers and to deliver the Hitachi story to internal and external stakeholders. ECBC also supports corporate communications for the other Hitachi Group companies across the EMEA-CIS region, including Hitachi Rail, Hitachi Energy, Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi High-Tech, GlobalLogic, and many more.
What you’ll be doing
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative, and talented undergraduate to join the European Corporate Brand and Communications team of Hitachi Europe as a Digital Marketing Placement on a year’s paid placement.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities;
As a Digital Marketing Placement, you’ll join a fast-moving and hardworking team, developing and delivering communications on a pan-European level, as well as supporting the needs of our local European offices. You will gain exposure to a broad range of brand activities.
You will mainly work on our online communications, maintaining and developing our corporate websites and intranet, reviewing social media content, handling external enquiries, monitoring and analyzing website performance, and working with internal and external stakeholders.
You will collaborate with colleagues from Hitachi Group companies to ensure product information and web links are accurate and up-to-date in multiple languages. You will also coordinate with external website development and translation agencies to manage online content. You will utilize online tools such as website analytics and link checkers, as well as our WordPress and Sitecore content management systems. Additionally, you will handle online enquiries from European customers, responding or redirecting them as appropriate. You will also participate in designing and developing new content to keep the websites engaging and current.
What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a motivated candidate who is passionate about delivering excellent work and aligns with the Hitachi vision. This role is hybrid, primarily remote, with meetings at our corporate headquarters in Stoke Poges and London.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Studying for a marketing/business-related degree
* Keen interest in branding and digital marketing, including social media
* Good organizational and communication skills, a flexible attitude, and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with web tools and Adobe software is a plus
