Our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes. Experience with milling would be advantageous as milling duties will be incorporated into the role over time; however CNC turning will be the primary focus.
CNC Machinist Job Details & Benefits;
40 hours per week worked flexibly between 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday with an early finish at 12pm-12.30pm on a Friday
£37,440 - £41,600 per annum

CNC Machinist Job Details;
The CNC Machinist will play an integral role within the Machine Engineering team, manufacturing precision components to specification while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The role involves working with a variety of CNC machines and control systems, problem-solving machining challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement within the machining function.
Set, operate and program CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision machined components in line with engineering drawings and specifications
Using the following control panels -Fanuc, Proto Trak, Siemens and Accurite
Using the following machines Colchester, XYZ, Dugard and manual lathe and milling machines
Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Manufacture complex components using 3-axis machining techniques
Select appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds to achieve optimal machining performance and finish
Conduct in-process inspection and measurement to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
Identify and resolve machining issues through effective problem solving and process adjustment
Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas to a high standard, supporting TPM and preventative maintenance activities
Work collaboratively with engineering, design, and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency
Adhere to company Health & Safety policies, quality procedures, and housekeeping standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle time reduction, waste minimisation, and process optimisation
CNC Machinist Person Specification;
Strong experience programming and operating CNC lathe and milling machines with multiple control systems
Ability to work independently on complex components while also contributing effectively within a team environment
Strong problem-solving capability and proactive mindset
Good communication and interpersonal skills supporting collaborative working
High level of organisation, time management, and reliability
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving business and industry requirements
