Location: Milton Keynes, with travel to project sites as required (generally between Milton Keynes and North London).
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of new build roofing contracts, ensuring that both internal teams and subcontractors meet high-quality standards and project specifications.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of roofing sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments to ensure delivery on time and within financial targets.
* Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction with the quality of work and address issues or concerns during the project.
* Report on project status to the Operations Manager and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Lead the planning and coordination of roofing projects, ensuring labour, materials, and equipment are in place to meet deadlines.
* Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure work meets high standards and client specifications.
* Work with the Head of Estimating and Operations Manager to plan project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
* Resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently to minimise disruption to project timelines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all sites; prepare RAMS for each contract; deliver toolbox talks and provide safety updates.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Provide daily updates on project progress and attend project meetings as required.
Project Management & Safety
* Lead project planning and coordination of roofing projects; monitor and control costs, timelines, and quality.
* Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and compliance with client specifications.
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance on all sites and maintain RAMS documentation.
* Deliver toolbox talks and ensure team adherence to safety protocols.
Client, Stakeholder & Financial Oversight
* Maintain relationships with clients and ensure timely updates and issue resolution.
* Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely material delivery.
* Monitor and control project costs; forecast costs and track profitability; ensure work aligns with financial targets.
Reporting & Communication
* Provide daily updates to the Operations Manager and participate in project meetings to inform planning and execution.
* Ensure clear communication among site teams, subcontractors, and the wider management team.
Qualifications
* CSCS card required; SMSTS/SSSTS certification preferred.
* First Aid certification is advantageous.
* Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience managing new build roofing contracts; proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, in-depth roofing knowledge, and strong project management skills including cost and timeline control; problem-solving on-site.
* Additional Requirements: Valid UK driving licence; willingness to travel to various project sites; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
