About the Role As the Homelink Advisor, you willbe verifying the eligibility of applicants joining the housing registerwhilst ensuring applicants are placed withinappropriate priority bands according to the allocation policy and providing quality customer advice on a wide range of housing options. Youll be responsiblefor the preparation of the weekly advert for allavailable properties, across the partnership and applying the correct eligibility criteria to all advertised properties, and maintaining effective liaison and relationship building with internal and external representatives. About You The ideal candidate will have: Experience of working in a housing environment and an ability to learn. Ability to make accurate and timely decisions, often in pressurised situations and to act tactfully and with sensitivity and courtesy at all times. Particularly regarding qualification and eligibility of applicants for social housing in accordance with allocations policy. Demonstrated a firm but fair approach to managing, customer services and relationships whilst maintaining a professional attitude. Evidence of carrying out individual assessments to determine, qualification, eligibility for social housing. Demonstrated capacity to effectively organise and use initiative to prioritise workload to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and on time. NVQ Level 2/3 in Housing Management, or willing to work towards a qualification. Or a part qualification of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
