As a Bank Receptionist, you will provide administrative and hygiene-specific support to The Ironstone Centre in Scunthorpe, as well as delivering excellent customer service to our service users attending dermatology appointments.
Our service offers dermatology and skin cancer care within the Oldham area, functioning as a secondary care provider with a comprehensive range of dermatology-related services.
You will collaborate with our friendly clinical and managerial teams to optimize appointment capacity, monitor appointment timeliness, and perform clerical duties to ensure efficient administrative support.
This role is based at our clinic in Scunthorpe, operating Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm.
Main Responsibilities
1. Meet and greet patients for all dermatology appointments.
2. Manage outcome appointments, including typing and sending clinical letters to GP practices and trusts.
3. Prepare and clear clinical rooms and reception areas, including locking equipment and managing patient information.
4. Prepare daily administrative tasks.
5. Upload all documentation from clinics, such as medical photography, paperwork, incoming and processed post.
6. Gather and upload patient feedback online.
7. Manage cancellation reports from confirmation texts.
8. Follow procedures for patients who do not attend appointments.

The Ideal Candidate
1. Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
2. Effective communication skills with individuals and groups at all levels.
3. Strong administration and IT skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, and customer service orientation.
5. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
6. Previous experience with EMIS (clinical database).
7. Experience working in a healthcare environment.
8. Ability to work independently using own initiative.
