Job Introduction
Dudley Council's Home Improvement Service is a multi-disciplinary team within the Housing directorate. We enable vulnerable and disabled people to live independently, safely, and comfortably at home by assisting with building work, adaptations, repairs, and providing equipment such as domestic lifts and hoists. We also support residents through the council's Energy Advice line.
We are seeking a Technical Support Officer to join our friendly team.
The Role
This role involves supporting the team with various tasks, initially including data entry and collation, and assisting in managing adaptation providers. There is potential to extend support across the entire service area. Daily communication with service users and stakeholders via telephone and email is expected.

You should be able to work independently, meet targets and deadlines, and demonstrate empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of older and disabled people. A discreet approach to confidential information is essential.

* Full-time position, 37 hours per week
* Salary Grade 5 - £25,584 to £27,269
