Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Inpatient Pain Team at Basildon Trust. You will work collaboratively with the Nurse Consultant, lead nurse, Nurse specialists and Consultant Anesthetist to provide a Trust wide service to in-patients with acute and/or chronic pain. We are a small friendly team who are able to offer a supportive work environment with great opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities
* Provide a Trust wide service to in-patients with acute and/or chronic pain in collaboration with the Inpatient Pain Team.
* Support the delivery of evidence-based pain management within the hospital.
* Collaborate with the Nurse Consultant, lead nurse, Nurse specialists and Consultant Anesthetist to optimise patient care.
Qualifications
* Relevant experience of managing patients requiring acute and/or chronic pain management throughout the hospital setting.
* Excellent clinical assessment and decision making skills to effectively plan and evaluate pain management treatment plans.
* Effective teaching skills and experience of delivering formal and informal education to both patients and the interdisciplinary team.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with exceptional communication, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and experience managing a caseload of patients with complex health and social care needs.
