Overview
As a Process Technician, you will be integral to site production. You will operate state-of-the-art machinery daily, have the opportunity to generate ideas and implement improvements, and be a problem solver, a technical expert, and a go-to person for all things liquid processing. You will be a valued colleague working as part of a quality-driven, passionate team.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to a healthy, inclusive and safe work environment, and role model our character mindset.
* Support Continuous Improvement through the use of Lean Tools.
* Follow departmental KPIs, minimizing, managing, and reporting losses.
* Operate machines and processing equipment using operating interfaces.
* Identify and address the root cause of problems.
* Run the department\'s processes and resolve process failures.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions, and implement appropriate solutions.
* Actively participate in the development and optimization of the washing processes.
* Ensure awareness of and compliance with quality and food safety requirements within your area of responsibility.
* Apply procedures and instructions regarding food safety (HACCP).
* Determine pass/fail criteria for products and handle nonconforming products.
* Manage product recipes, article numbers, and additives, including understanding their functions.
* Organise projects and implement changes independently while reporting back to Team Leader or SLT.
* Good time management and priority-driven leadership.
Qualifications
* Experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
* A natural ability to solve problems.
* A strong sense of professional integrity and a passion for producing high-quality work with a strong safety mindset.
* The ability to work and make decisions independently.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Proficiency with Plant Master.
* This role would suit someone with previous Technician experience or similar.
* Note: This is a days-based secondment, but will incorporate both day and night shifts where needed. This role is a 6-month secondment to justify having the role; real savings will need to be demonstrated. More specific goals will be discussed in the interview process.
