Infection Prevention & Control Lead Nurse
Oaklands Hospital | Part Time 22.5 Hours Per Week
Oaklands Hospital are recruiting for an Infection Prevention & Control Lead Nurse to join the team on a part time contract.
To carry out the necessary surveillance to identify and monitor infections within the hospital
To provide advice on Infection Prevention and Control issues and to contribute in the interpretation and development of local procedures based on group policy for the prevention and control of infection.
To undertake training and education on Infection Prevention and Control issues.
To carry out environmental audits for infection prevention and control throughout the hospital, ensuring that action plans are developed and instigated
To help create and maintain an environment that will ensure the safety of the patient/client, his or her relatives, visitors and Health Care Workers using infection prevention and control knowledge, communication skills, nursing and teaching skills and attitudes appropriate to each situation
To co-ordinate all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control issues within the hospital on behalf of the Hospital Director
