Purpose of the role
Responsible for managing the Business Support Team, overseeing daily operations such as payouts and introducer set-up, providing leadership and direction, maintaining service levels, and ensuring risks are managed appropriately. Experience in motor finance or unsecured lending is preferred. The role involves working some prime business hours over a 7-day rota.
What you'll be doing
* Contributing to the achievement of corporate and departmental objectives.
* Setting and reviewing team and personal objectives.
* Managing resources and creating service standards and SLAs.
* Ensuring team compliance with audit and quality standards.
* Achieving volume and margin targets.
* Developing team members through coaching, appraisals, and training.
* Making sound business decisions within lending policies and risk management guidelines.
* Reviewing and improving processes and procedures.
* Monitoring budgets and costs.
* Maintaining relationships with other managers and introducers.
* Providing management information and deputising for the Operations Manager when needed.
* Maintaining your own CPD log.
About You
What you'll bring
* Knowledge of the Motor Finance industry, including legal, credit, and compliance issues.
* Proven leadership and team motivation skills.
* Experience in recruitment, resource management, and MI analysis.
* Adaptability to change and strong decision-making skills.
* Computer literacy, especially MS Office.
Working Hours
37.5 hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, with some flexibility. Location is primarily in Solihull, with some remote work.
