We’re recruiting for an exciting Head of Commercial position with a market-leading food ingredients business. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead Sales and Procurement teams, shape strategy, and make a real impact on the future growth of the company.

Our client is a trusted partner to the food manufacturing and foodservice sectors, supplying innovative bulk ingredient solutions. They are part of a successful food group and hold a BRC AA grade. The company is proud of its collaborative and values-driven culture.
Role Overview:
As Head of Commercial, you will:
Develop and deliver the commercial strategy, covering both Sales and Procurement
Lead and inspire two teams, fostering a high-performance, people-first culture
Build and manage key customer and supplier relationships to drive sustainable growth
Use market data and insights to shape product, pricing, and stock strategies
Oversee category and supplier management, ensuring competitiveness and quality
Work closely with the Managing Director and Group Finance Director to manage budgets and deliver results
Identify new growth opportunities and mitigate market risks
Key Requirements:
Senior leadership experience in Sales and Procurement within the food industry
Previous experience in the ingredients sector is desirable
Proven track record of delivering commercial growth in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, people-focused approach
Excellent analytical skills—able to translate data into actionable strategies
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Highly organised, adaptable, and driven by continuous improvement
Benefits Include:
Salary up to £85k (dependent on experience)
£500 per month car allowance or company car option
