We are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northampton seeking to appoint a dedicated Food Technology Teacher from September 2026. The school is ideally looking for a permanent appointment; however, fixed-term contracts or long-term supply arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

The Role
* Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching practical cooking skills, nutrition, food science, and health & safety
* Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safe working practices
* Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
* Contributing to the continued development of the Food Technology curriculum
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status
* Has strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, Hospitality & Catering, or a related field
* Is confident managing practical lessons in a busy classroom environment
* Demonstrates strong organisation and classroom management skills
* Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student progress
* Has a passion for delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
* Previous experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is desirable
