Working in a hybrid style, you will be based at home and at the office located at 5 City Square. This is a full-time position, requiring 37 hours per week.

Requirements
You should possess a BSc (Hons) Degree in Environmental Health or an equivalent qualification, along with the Royal Environmental Health Institute Diploma or other professional body qualifications.
Responsibilities
You will be working within either the Food and Health and Safety Team or the Environment/Public Health Team in the Regulatory Services section of City Development.
* In the Food and Health and Safety Team, your duties will include undertaking food law activities, occupational health and safety interventions, and responding to licensing applications.
* In the Environment/Public Health Team, your responsibilities include implementing, supporting, and enforcing Environmental Health legislation related to Public Health and Pollution Control, as well as responding to development management (Planning) and licensing applications.
The Individual
The ideal candidate will have general experience across all fields of Environmental Health, with knowledge in food safety, health and safety, environmental protection, statutory nuisances, air quality, and public health.
You should possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written), good computer and presentation skills, and strong IT/analytical skills. Reporting writing skills and the ability to handle conflict effectively are also essential.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, work independently, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and approach problems methodically and creatively is required.
You should be willing to work varied and flexible hours as needed.
