Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Audit team in Birmingham. The primary responsibility of the Audit Manager will be to manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring efficient service delivery and exceeding client expectations. You will assist Partners in client work and group management, and may be involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring clients receive proactive service, liaising with Partners and staff to keep all parties informed.
2. Overseeing audit work, setting budgets, managing billing, and considering the commercial aspects of clients’ businesses.
3. Staying updated on compliance developments and their impact on clients.
4. Organising staff on jobs, providing training, feedback, and managing workloads.
5. Participating in client focus groups, seminars, and marketing events.
6. Identifying and developing new business opportunities with current clients.
Qualifications
To succeed, you should have:
1. Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA).
2. Significant external audit experience with entrepreneurial, SME, or AIM listed clients.
3. Experience in business development activities.
4. Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and industry specifics.
5. Management experience and the ability to motivate staff.
6. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, Partners, and staff.
