Overview
The School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography (SAME) seeks an experienced, highly organised Graduate Programme Coordinator to support postgraduate teaching and student administration across a portfolio of internationally recognised programmes.
Responsibilities
* Administer postgraduate taught and research programmes for over 200 graduate students, ensuring smooth delivery of teaching, examinations, and student support.
* Oversee academic administration processes, including examination and assessment administration, teaching coordination and maintaining accurate student records.
* Support compliance with University regulations and procedures, acting as a key point of contact for postgraduate students and academic staff.
* Respond to enquiries and provide guidance on academic processes and policies with professionalism and sensitivity.
* Collaborate with Course Directors, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Chair of Examiners, central University services and partner departments on shared programmes.
* Support student welfare and disability‑related matters, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and discretion with sensitive information.
* Contribute to continuous improvements in administrative processes and build strong working relationships across the University.
Qualifications
* Significant administrative experience, ideally within higher education.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Adept at managing competing priorities and working independently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with students, academics and professional services colleagues.
* Proactive, collaborative approach with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement when dealing with sensitive matters.
