About Our Client

Job Description
3. Develop and optimize designs for forged components.
4. Design and refine the forging process, including die configurations, material flow, and grain structure optimization.
5. Utilize CAD software (NX) for both component and tooling design and conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to predict forging performance.
6. Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
7. Work closely with Manufacturing & Production teams to troubleshoot issues, improve die life, and reduce defects.
8. Identify opportunities to enhance design efficiency, minimize material waste, and improve forging precision.
9. Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes effectively.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Design Engineer should have:
10. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
11. 2+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably in metal forging.
12. Proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX or SolidWorks).
13. Experience with FEA software for material flow and stress analysis.
14. Strong understanding of forging principles and material properties
15. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and 2D Drawings
16. Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot manufacturing defects and improve forging designs.
17. Excellent communication & teamwork skills to collaborate with production, quality, and sales teams.
