The Role
The Night Transport Operations Co-Ordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of GBA's night transport operations at a key customer-facing site in Warrington. Working closely with the Night Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating drivers, managing fleet utilisation, monitoring live operations, and maintaining system accuracy throughout the shift.
As the on-site overnight point of contact for both drivers and the customer, the Co-Ordinator will combine operational expertise with professional communication, ensuring service levels are met, issues are resolved efficiently, and compliance standards are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities for Night Transport Operations Co-Ordinator
Support the Night Supervisor in delivering the nightly transport plan efficiently and in line with customer requirements.
Dispatch drivers with the correct vehicles, routes, and instructions, ensuring optimal fleet utilisation.
Monitor live operations, proactively managing delays, risks, and last-minute changes in real time.
Act as the on-site overnight point of contact for the customer, providing timely and professional updates.
Ensure full compliance with drivers' hours, working time regulations, and company policies.
Conduct driver briefings/debriefings, site audits, and initial incident investigations where required.
Maintain accurate, real-time updates across transport management and vehicle tracking systems.
Prepare clear and structured shift handovers, escalating issues appropriately to ensure operational continuity.
About You We're looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience in transport planning or logistics operations, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
Strong working knowledge of drivers' hours legislation, working time directive, and transport compliance.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make confident, real-time operational decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, transport management systems, and vehicle tracking platforms.
Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and prevent operational issues.
Ability to work independently on a night shift, taking ownership and accountability for performance.
