Gramps Inns Limited have developed 'The Rodney Stoke Inn' an outstanding roadside destination pub that we hope will become a favourite of locals, guests and visitors.
We are looking for a Sous Chef with proven experience or an ambitious Junior Sous, who is ready for the next step. Passionate and genuinely interested in customer service, with good leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for the kitchen in the absence of the head chef, ensuring the highest quality food is served. Proactive and hands on, with a nurturing style and the desire to develop and inspire.
Responsibilities
Assisting our Head Chef with:
* kitchen operations and routine maintenance
* creating menus ensuring variety and quality with seasonal and local flavour
* managing, supporting, and mentoring the kitchen team
* recruiting, training, and developing the team to deliver an efficient high-quality service
* stock control and management, ensuring financial discipline within the kitchen
* implementing H&SAW, food safety, and COSHH regulations
Requirements
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Health and safety and food hygiene certificated.
* City & Guilds diplomas or related certificates in professional cookery.
