Contract: Full Time • Role Type: Permanent • Working hours per week: 40
Salary: £14.17 - £14.99 per hour
Responsibilities
* Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where required
* Ensuring that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development
* Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation
* Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation
* Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
* Providing support and care to the young people within our services
* Encouraging young people in preparation to re-enter education or engage in current schooling
* Traveling with young people to and from School or College
* Preparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people
* Organising and facilitating social activities

Shift Pattern
16>24 Hour shifts (including Sleep-in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.
Requirements
* Must hold a full UK driving licence
* Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger People’s workforce
* 12 months senior experience in a Residential setting is desirable, but applications from those at the start of their journey are encouraged
* DBS and reference checks will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice
