Phonics Teaching Assistant - Salford
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who feels confident delivering Phonics sessions to students in Early Years and KS1?
This two-form entry Primary school requires a Teaching Assistant to work with students in KS1 with strong experience in Phonics. Ideally you will have experience working with and using Jolly Phonics, Letter & Sounds and/or Read Write Inc. You will lead Intervention groups and work with SEND students so you may need a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
The school offers excellent specialist spaces for interventions to be delivered and has great leadership teams who respect work/life balance. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of supporting pupils in Early Years and KS1, including academic interventions in reading/writing or maths; have strong language and literacy skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels; and a clear understanding of phonics.
Responsibilities
* Lead Intervention groups.
* Work with SEND students with strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* Deliver phonics sessions and support Early Years and KS1 pupils with reading/writing or maths interventions as needed.
* Differentiate work according to academic levels and engage pupils effectively.

* Opportunity for a permanent contract after a temporary period of work

Requirements / Qualifications
* Have Primary School and phonics experience
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
