We are looking for a Legal Advisor who has excellent attention to detail, can manage and prioritise their own workload, and has a track record of providing exceptional customer service. If you have extensive experience in RTA file handling, a thorough understanding of the Claimant claims process, and previous litigation experience, we may have the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient file management including adherence to timescales, compliance with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system with appropriate supervision.
* Progress all files proactively towards settlement in an efficient manner, managing inactivity, complaints, etc.
* Manage financial aspects of matters, including billing, to enable achievement of KPIs.
* Secure relevant medical reports, obtain the client’s Schedule of Loss, and review evidence required to support a claim.
* Prepare cases for litigation and any hearings, directions, etc., and provide post‑settlement case steps, including releasing files to the enforcement team.
* Minimise write‑offs and case closures due to AWOL clients through proactive housekeeping, prompt closure of files, and processing write‑offs.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of drafting of legal documents, including court documents, schedules, files, proof‑reading, and briefing counsel.
* Research and apply an understanding of the law within own practice group.
About You
* Previous experience running RTA fast‑track cases.
* Part 8 and MOJ experience.
* Thorough understanding of litigation processes.
* Ability to assess and review medical reports of various disciplines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT/case management systems.
* Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders.
* Outstanding communication skills.
* Ability to meet monthly financial targets and KPIs.
