Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, particularly with TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) processes, and will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal.
Responsibilities
* Perform TIG welding on various metal components, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
* Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete welding tasks.
* Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in production.
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the welding process, applying basic maths and mechanical knowledge as needed.
Experience
* Proven experience in welding, specifically TIG welding techniques.
* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is highly desirable.
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery and equipment used in the welding process.
* Previous experience with stick welding is an advantage but not essential.
