Location: Harwell Campus | Salary: £25,350 per year (£13 per hour) | Hours: 37.5 per week | Days: Monday to Friday | Full uniform provided; meals on duty; parking available.
Responsibilities
* Dishwashing — Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers
* Kitchen cleanliness — Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas; empty rubbish bins and ensure proper waste disposal
* Food preparation — Assist chefs and cooks with basic tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
* Inventory management — Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
* Compliance with health and safety — Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and ensure equipment is in good working order
Qualifications
* No formal education required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred
* Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
* Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
* Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
