Job Description

This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure that the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all internal audit standards, and remains fit for the future.
The role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, which may include:
* Assessing distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Developing and delivering innovative ways of working
1. Other responsibilities may include:
* Implementing recommendations from internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
* Driving Area Hazardous Waste activities and increasing visibility
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead the business on hazardous waste, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure hazardous waste is managed correctly.

The role is based at an EA Office location, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
