Secondary Teaching Assistant

KeyStage Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in North East. With roles available up to five days per week, this is a flexible and fulfilling position ideal for those who are confident, proactive, and committed to supporting young people in their learning.
What youll be doing:
In this role, youll work closely with teaching staff and students to provide high-quality classroom support. You will:
Assist teachers across a variety of subjects and year groups
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need additional help
Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a focused learning environment
Adapt confidently to different schools, classroom settings, and routines

A strong communicator with a flexible and proactive approach
Passionate about helping young people thrive in education
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
Holding a minimum Level 3 qualification (in any subject)
In possession of GCSEs in English and Maths
Able to reliably commute to schools within your local area
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is welcomed but not essential
