The School of Medicine, University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Technician – Digital Research to join the Digital Cancer Screening Research Group in Translational Medical Sciences.
The role will provide technical support to the Digital Cancer Screening Research Group which will include some knowledge of dry laboratory research. The role holder will use basic computational skills in areas such as, programming languages (i.e. Python), knowledge of the handling of digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) and some experience with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). The role will assist senior colleagues in the development of computer science, digital laboratory techniques and processes utilising existing skills and knowledge. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
The role is based at the Clinical Sciences Building, Nottingham City Hospital and is offered on a full-time basis on a fixed term contract of 12 months. Part-time 29 hours per week will be considered.
