We have opportunities for Mechanical Fitter to work on a wide range of projects. You'll be working on submarines and warships to factory-based engineering projects, you will also work on some of the most advanced mechanical systems in the defence sector. Responsibilities: Installing and aligning mechanical equipment with precision and care. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Conducting functional tests and surveys to ensure optimal system performance. Operating workshop machinery and tools specific to mechanical fitting. Troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Experience operating workshop machinery used in mechanical fitting. Background in marine engineering, including work on Royal Navy ships, submarines, or large commercial vessels. Indentured apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
