Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural engineering, with expertise in various design software and project management. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring all designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Civil 3D for the preparation of detailed drawings and specifications.
Conduct structural calculations using Mathcad and other engineering tools to support design decisions.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural designs within overall project plans.
Manage project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to clients and team members on progress and any potential issues.
Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in structural engineering.
Experience
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field is essential.
Significant experience in structural engineering roles, with a proven track record of successful project management.
Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Mathcad is required.
Strong understanding of construction processes and system design principles.
Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately.
