The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with various tasks that support food preparation and cleanliness. Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
* Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling.
* Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and in good working order.
* Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
* Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Assist with waste management and recycling efforts within the kitchen.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or culinary setting is preferred but not essential.
* A keen interest in food preparation and the hospitality industry.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
* Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff.

Pay: £10.00-£12.44 per hour
