Join Our Team as a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer!
Location: Rochester
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
What You'll Be Doing:
As a key player in our multidisciplinary team, you will:
* Execute complex hardware design tasks, ensuring adherence to our development plan, timelines, and budgets.
* Conduct hardware requirements capture and detailed design, including a variety of analysis tasks.
* Adopt innovative design approaches and identify improvements to enhance our working practices.
* Collaborate with other disciplines to optimize solutions and minimize dependency impacts.
* Provide technical guidance and support for all aspects of digital and/or analogue electronics solutions.
* Coach and develop junior team members, sharing your expertise and insights.
* Deliver design artifacts that meet both company and industry standards.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* Proven knowledge and experience in digital and/or analogue electronics technologies.
* Experience navigating the engineering development lifecycle from concept to product certification.
* Ability to appreciate cost and schedule constraints to meet program needs.
* Strong engineering judgment throughout all phases of the development lifecycle.
* Robust understanding of product design and work package control.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
* Experience with analogue simulation tools like Simetrix or Spice.
* Knowledge of system development tools such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, or Simulink.
