The Role As the Head of Science, you will take full responsibility for the standards of teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Beyond the classroom, you will provide high-quality coaching and professional development for a large team of specialists, including ECTs and experienced practitioners. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background with a degree in a Science discipline.
* Proven experience in a middle leadership role, such as a Key Stage Coordinator or Second in Department.
* Consistently "Outstanding" classroom practice with a track record of excellent results at both GCSE and A-Level.
* The ability to lead with empathy and clarity while maintaining exceptionally high expectations.
* A deep understanding of current pedagogical research and a commitment to practical-led, enquiry-based learning.
