GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Rotherham. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with teachers, support pupils’ learning, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Role Overview: As a Primary TA, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with lesson delivery, and help pupils develop both academically and socially. As a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA), you will: Support pupils across a range of subjects and year groups. Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs. Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom management. Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and progress. Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant (TA): Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
