Overview

Registered Homes Manager. White Trees group is owned and operated by SureCare Residential Ltd. Our role as a company is to provide a home for vulnerable and complex young people who find themselves in residential care for a magnitude of reasons, often completely out of their control and/or comprehension. Our company was founded on the belief that what we do, not only keeps our young people safe and away from harm, we actually grow and develop and build brighter futures for all of the young people in our care.

Welcome bonus: £15000 if you apply between 11th September - 13th October 2025. Salary: £44,720.00 – £53,040.00 with on-target earnings (OTE) £62,920 – £71,240. Terms and conditions apply.

Responsibilities

* Leadership & Management: be a positive and effective role model, maintain a regular presence within the home, and be consistent in actions and decisions.
* Set and maintain clear standards of care within the home in line with compliance expectations, under guidance of the compliance manager.
* Report poor behaviour or conduct via the correct channels using whistle blowing policy and procedures.
* Maintain a comprehensive induction process for all new employees to effectively introduce them to the Home, young people, team and procedures.
* Facilitate and hold regular staff, young people, and stakeholder consultations; provide/receive feedback and administer QA questionnaires as part of the company’s Quality Assurance Systems.


Main duties – Care planning

* Regularly monitor the delivery of care to ensure the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of the young people are recognised, assessed and met.
* Ensure a named key worker system is in place and updated for all young people to facilitate care planning records.
* Follow admission policies and conduct pre-admission assessments/matching for potential young people, with support from the area manager/referrals and placements manager.
* Manage storage, handling and administration of medications in the home, and manage the administration, storage and safety of finances and petty cash, including the home’s budgets.
* Ensure the protection and safety of young people, conducting regular health and safety checks and ensuring fire alarms and safety systems are functional.
* Fulfil the duties of "The Responsible Individual" and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and relevant legislation (e.g., environmental health, health & safety and fire regulations).


External relationships and partnerships

* Establish and maintain good relationships with relatives, referring agencies/local authorities, the local community and other parties the company collaborates with.
* Report any serious incident affecting the wellbeing of the young people to the Local Authority, Ofsted and other relevant bodies within 24 hours.
* Carry out audits as required and manage quality assurances, including Managers Monthly Quality Review; perform other duties within the scope of the post as required.


Training & Experience

* Successfully register with the regulatory body - Ofsted.
* Hold DSL within the home and act as Designated Safeguard Lead, managing safeguarding reporting and procedures in line with policy, LA policy and regulatory expectations.
* NFPS Physical Intervention and Behaviour Management Training (physical interventions may be used as a last resort to keep young people safe).
* At least 2 years’ experience in leading, supervising and managing a team.
* Hold a completed Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or enrolment to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
