Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant – Chemicals role in a chemicals company based in the UK. The company is a start‑up speciality chemical distributor founded.
Qualifications
* Prior customer support experience required.
* Self‑motivated, organised, with a willingness to take charge and be proactive.
* Outstanding writing and vocal communication abilities.
* Proficient in MS Office and applications such as SAGE, SAP and XERO.
* It is preferable, but not required, to have a business diploma or bachelor’s degree.
* An interest in or prior experience in the chemicals business preferred but not required.
* Preferable to have prior experience working with an agency or distributor.
* Accustomed to working with a sizable Chinese manufacturer.
* Experience in warehouse and stock management desired.
* Logistics experience, including import/export processes, incoterms, dealing with international freight forwarders and couriers.
* Competency in the Chinese language desirable.
* Diligence and time management abilities required.
* Consumer‑centric approach with a sales and entrepreneurial attitude.
