Job Description
The Quality Inspector reviews products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company standards. Responsibilities include measuring objects against specifications, conducting quality tests, identifying defects, providing inspection results to engineering, and managing the gage calibration system.
Essential Functions
* Commit to company’s core values: teamwork, open communication, continuous improvement, and customer solutions
* Use and care of measuring and testing equipment (micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, etc.)
* Inspect incoming, fabricated, and machined parts dimensionally
* Conduct non-destructive testing (Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic)
* Prepare and file documentation and records post-testing
* Sign-off on Inspection and Test Plans
* Work with supervision to ensure products meet customer requirements
* Perform dimensional and visual inspections of raw materials, finished parts, and assemblies
* Monitor and assist with gauge calibration
* Document nonconforming conditions
* Perform audits of processes, personnel, and products
* Maintain non-destructive testing qualifications (SNT-TC-1A Level II or higher)
* Maintain supplier logs
* Provide accurate inspection documentation
* Train personnel on acceptance criteria
* Perform source inspections, possibly involving overnight travel
* Training on Faro Inspection
Development Responsibilities
* Promote a quality culture within the team
* Support production on quality issues
* Support record-keeping and documentation
Authorities
* Review and approve quality data supporting manufacturing efforts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and Intelex or similar QMS software
* Proven quality experience
* Conscientious, responsible, results-driven
* Numeracy, technical, collaboration, analytical, adaptability skills
* Time management, critical thinking, problem-solving
* Effective communication, attention to detail
* Faro inspection expertise
Qualifications
Education & Experience
* High school diploma or GED, 5+ years related experience
* Non-Destructive Testing (VT/MT/PT/UT)
* Faro Inspection certification highly preferred
Licenses/Certifications
* UT certification required

* Manufacturing environment
Travel
* Up to 10% annually
Working Hours
3rd shift, 11pm-7am
