About the role
* Assisting the Depot Services Manager in the review of current policies and procedures and having the initiative to seek approval to amend, driving change where needed.
* Deliver and co-ordinate Health, Safety & Environment and Food Standards and compliance related events/induction to update management team and new employees.
* Liaise & monitor facilities contractors while they are onsite, e.g. pest control, waste contractor, environmental contractors and ensure any actions resulting are completed.
* Dealing with assurance and compliance issues in the depot that require immediate attention and resolution and understanding when to escalate.
* To assist with assessing areas of depot risk and being proactive to find resolution before escalation.
* Complete all daily, weekly & monthly checks including fire, emergency lighting, legionella, asbestos, ammonia, PPE, pest, cleaning schedules, security, Semantics, food standards checks & COSHH assessments.
* Leading by example as well as influencing staff within the depot to ensure they follow processes and standards.
* Monitor and manage depot storage temperatures with the warehouse management team.
* Provide regular reports to the management team of overdue and due soon compliance training and ensure the timely completion of training.
