The opportunity will playing a crucial role in being a part of our EDF contract, which supports the warehousing solutions for the HPC Nuclear Build (Hinkley Point C) in Bridgwater. The first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Stock and Systems Manager during periods of absence, leading and supervising the Stock and Systems team to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and customer teams to enhance stock control processes and drive operational improvements.
* Support the development of stock and systems functions across the contract, ensuring processes, practices, and procedures meet compliance with Licence Conditions.
* Train and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Work closely with the C&M team to ensure equipment care and maintenance is effectively managed throughout its storage lifecycle, with proactive reporting and schedule updates.
* Oversee the use and maintenance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring data accuracy and generating reports on stock performance, trends, and discrepancies.
* Deliver departmental KPIs in line with contractual obligations, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
* Coordinate cycle counting activities, analyse results to identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
* Communicate system issues in line with escalation procedures and support system upgrades, process improvements, and new implementations.
* Maintain accurate inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure stock integrity.
Experience, Skills, And Attributes
* Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse systems.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
* Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)—ideally Manhattan 2017—and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
