Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient, empathetic Behaviour Support Coach to provide dedicated 1:1 support for young people with a wide range of special educational needs and behavioural challenges in one of our partnered specialist schools in Bridgend. Supporting pupils aged 7–19 with complex Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD), Autism, specific learning difficulties and additional needs. This nurturing school places high importance on wellbeing, consistency, and individualised support. You’ll work flexibly across all key stages in a hands-on role, supporting learners who may struggle to engage in mainstream settings and helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to thrive. We’re seeking someone calm, patient, adaptable, and confident in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies, with a genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their full potential! Ideal candidate will: Have experience working with young people with behavioural, SEMH, or additional learning needs Has a resilient, patient, and understanding attitude Possess the ability to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support Have the skills in managing and de-escalating behaviour effectively Show their commitment to boosting pupil engagement and emotional development Experience in schools, youth work, care work, sports coaching, mentoring, or support work is highly desirable. ✅Requirements To be considered for the role, you will need: (We can help you obtain the below as part of the registration process) • Enhanced DBS on the update service • Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC) • Aged 18 and over • Level 2 Safeguarding Course as part of your onboarding with us • A Minimum of 2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period of employment (or equivalent) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
