Job description
Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector specialising in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), is currently seeking a B1 Licensed Engineer to join their team in Twin Peaks, St Athan. This permanent role involves critical maintenance activities in the aircraft engineering environment, requiring adherence to high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics for Base Maintenance checks
2. Ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and forms as per Company MOE or published procedures
3. Communicating maintenance requirements and any issues to the Bay Manager and Production Planners
4. Completing maintenance documentation in a timely manner, including documentation from assisting personnel
5. Ensuring accurate task timings and bookings on task cards
6. Properly storing aircraft components with correct labelling, racking, availability, and serviceability
7. Maintaining engineering practices within the hangar, including completing task cards and ensuring workplace cleanliness
8. Recommending improvements in working conditions, practices, and procedures
9. Performing additional tasks and duties as required by business needs
10. Adhering to company frameworks and complying with organisational policies
Job Requirements:
11. Experience in aircraft maintenance, including at least 3 years in Base Maintenance
12. Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation
13. Broad skillset in aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodiment
14. Strong structural assessment and repair knowledge
15. In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems
16. Possessing a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (UK CAA AML or EASA AML)
17. Type Rating & Recency for any Boeing or Airbus family aircraft
18. Desirable Type Rating & Recency for Boeing 737CL / 737NG / 757 / 767 and Airbus A320 Family
Successful candidates must be available for aircraft type training, which will be provided by the company.
